🏆 The key to success
Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally, it comes from what you do consistently
The real secret to success? It’s simpler than you might think. If you ask me, the key isn’t talent, intelligence, or connections (although that helps too).
The real secret? Consistency. It’s about showing up, even when things get tough, and making small progress day after day.
The enemy? Relying on occasional efforts and hoping for a lucky punch.
The truth is, success is built through steady, repetitive actions. It's not glamorous, but it works.
Here's the bottom line:
Success comes to those who are consistent, not just those with natural talent.
So, keep going. Keep showing up. That’s where the real results come from.
✅ Set small daily goals that are easy to hit
If you ask me what my superpower is (assuming I have one), I’d say it’s consistency when it comes to habits and efforts. Not that it's that useful if your habits aren’t healthy or on point, but hey, let me give myself some credit!
I assume not everyone is like that and that’s ok. There are a few tricks that can help though. From breaking big tasks into smaller ones to using a timer for focused work, there are many options. But today, I want to focus on one thing that really helps me:
Set small daily goals that are easy to hit.
Let’s take the classic example of running a marathon (because, well, classics are classics). You can’t decide to run a marathon today and expect to do it tomorrow, right? You have to break it down, build skills, and train consistently. Nothing new here.
But even that can feel like a lot. Where do you start? How long should you run today? Tomorrow? What about nutrition? Are your shoes right? Is your recovery plan solid?
See? It’s a lot to juggle.
So, what I do is create a list of potential challenges or tasks, and set small, manageable goals to tackle them one by one.
In this case, it could look like this:
Monday: Check marathon plans and pick a weekly mileage. Schedule runs and strength sessions.
Tuesday: Do the daily workout. Research shoes.
Wednesday: Complete the workout. Look into nutrition.
Nothing fancy. It keeps me from feeling overwhelmed, and I move forward every day (AKA, consistently).
And the best part? It works for just about anything. Try it, and you’ll see how foolproof it really is!
🏆 Habitica: Gamification for the win!
Alright, so this week’s product couldn’t be anything other than a tool to help with consistency, right?
Let’s be real—in a world full of habit trackers and apps, what works for me is finding a spin on the tools I use. One app I really like is Habitica. It gamifies habits and productivity in a way that makes it... almost too easy (unless you’re aiming for the moon).
Think 80s video game design—simple, nostalgic, and packed with classic gamification techniques (streaks, rewards, avatars, challenges). What you get is a game so simple that you forget you’re actually improving your habits. If you’re going to track habits, why not make it fun?
Here’s the breakdown:
Track your goals: Straightforward, no fuss.
Earn rewards: Complete tasks, level up your avatar, and unlock random (but cool) prizes (totally useless, but who am I to judge?)
Team up with friends: Accountability anyone?
It’s stupidly easy and takes the pressure off. Look at it like this: you’re leveling up in the game—you’re doing so in real life. Win-win!
💬 Daily tips from the trenches: Chus Naharro
Each week, someone outside of the #LSC will share a tip, tool, or technique that helps them go through their day-to-day life. Expect actionable tips you can take home, giving you insight into how others manage their lives.
After subscribing to lots of newsletters, few creators have connected with me like Chus Naharro. She’s built a community full of like-minded individuals where you can find answers not only about newsletters but also about work, productivity, the latest products, tech trends, and more. I didn’t know a space like this could even exist!
This week, Chus shares her approach to what she believes is the key to productivity:
I define productivity with a very simple phrase: do what you need to do.
And to achieve this, there’s no secret other than focus, focus, and focus.
In other words, reduce distractions.
One thing that works really well for me is the Focus modes on the iPhone.
However, you can apply this to other devices as well.
I’ve created three Focus modes with specific schedules for each side of my life:
Work Mode: Mon-Fri from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Baby Mode: Mon-Fri from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Disconnection Mode: Mon-Fri from 8:00 PM to 9:00 AM and weekends
In each mode, I display different apps depending on what I need.
The key to Disconnection Mode is to minimize those apps and notifications so I barely use the iPhone. If I do, it’s for reading, camera, photos, or a game. But nothing work-related.
🚫 Weekly Pick: A world without
And here’s your weekly content recommendation.
Just like Chus’s Disconnection Mode, this week's pick takes you to a world where some of the things we rely on simply don’t exist. It's a fun and absurd look at what we might be missing…
Imagine the world without some of the most basic things we know. This entire channel showcases how our world would look without the hundreds of everyday things we take for granted. Short, absurd videos, what else can you ask for on a Tuesday morning?

54% Open rate → The goal is to keep this, as you know, in the 60-70% range.
